iTunes failing to sync music to my iPhone5

Hi all,

I have just downloaded the latest OSX Mavericks and have an iPhone5 on iOS7 - I have just tried to sync some of my albums across using either USB or Wifi and nothing happens?? It starts the whole process - checking backup, apps, music etc, goes through the motions yet fails to sync and music across??

I have tried to boot iTunes in safe mode to see if that helped - alas it didn't.

I do have lots of music that I originally purchased from iTunes on my iPhone yet my cd collection is not :-( and I can not seem to find a way to rectify this..

Any ideas what to do?

I have tried to restore my iPhone, HOLD Home & Power button, WiFi, USB Sync & differenct computers using the same NAS library yet no joy.

I am at my wits end as my iPhone is my life for work as well as my iPod.
