Proxy server does not work with Mac OS X 10.9 Maverix anymore. Why?

I used Google Chrome Browser with Zenmate or Hotspot Shield under Mac Os X 10.8 and it worked fine. I could access websites in the USA that I am paying for and watch the movies that I monthly pay for. But now under Maverix (Mac OS 10.9) it does not work anymore.

Why and what to do?

Does anybody else have the same problem that proxy server software does not work anymore under Maverix, and you cant watch movie content of other countries anymore?

Hey Apple Support!

Lots of people have this problem with mavericks!

What is the solution to the problem?

Why have you not answered this question since 25.10.2013 ??!?!

I have this problem for a long time, and your Hotline Support also can not give me a solution!

Does you not answering this question mean that Mavericks MacOs X 10.9 can not access websites using a proxy server anymore? Do I now have to sell my new Macbook Pro for a Windows Laptop, because I can't use the Apple Computer anymore to see Websites in other countries?

We are all waiting for your answer and tell us a solution to this problem, Apple Support!!!

PLEASE GIVE US AN ANSWER NOW!!!

THIS IS A HUGE PROBLEM!!!

Anybody else having this problem, please also write something here, so other people can see how much Apple s.u.c.k.s now and how Apple does not care anymore about customer support and making their products work normally!

Read the TOS of these forums. These are user to user forums, and Apple does not read them, or provide support here.

That said, who knows? Have you contacted the authors of the proxy server software to see if they have a version that's compatible with OS X Mavericks? That's where you should start.

Probably fewer than 1 in 1000 people install proxy server software on their Mac. Therefore it's an edge case, and you should work to figure out what's going on, as it's highly unlikely Apple is testing with software such as that.

Are you serious? Is that truly your opinion that the new operating system should not be working with proxy server software?! All other computers in the world do!

If you read all kinds of Mac forums on the internet, than you can see that EVERYBODY has this problem with all and any of their proxy server software since upgrading to MacOs X 10.9 Mavericks. This is not a small problem, as you try to put it. If you are from Apple and you are seriously saying that Apple has no intention of fixing this huge problem, than my mind is made up. I will return my MacBook Pro and will buy a Windows Notebook where everything works, and will of course never buy Apple again.

Why buy a highly priced, or even a very low priced, product, if it does not even work as it is very normaly supposed to do?

I seriously hope you are not working for Apple and are just some strange guy from the internet with his own opinion.

Because if you really are from Apple, and this is a statement an Apple employer makes, than we can all truly already see how Apple is digging its own grave right now.

There are millions of chinese people and people all over the world, who buy Apple computers and need to use proxy servers every day to access information outside their country in order to get around their governments censorship to get free information from other parts of the world. Europeans can not see websites in the USA, arabian muslim countries can't access information in western countries, and so on....

You are saying that this fact is not important, and these are only a few people, and that Apple should not support proxy servers, and Apple should continue blocking all proxy server software on purpose?!?

This is supporting faschism and a totaliarian control system.

Are you working for the faschist controlling NSA to spread lies, or are you just not smart enough to understand what it means if all and any proxy server does not work anymore on an Apple computer, that is sold worldwide, and is usually used by intelligent people and intellectuals who use proxy servers every day? This might not apply to you, but it applies to most people in the world who use and can afford to buy an Apple computer.

If you are a disinformation agent for the NSA who is spreading lies, than you better do what Edward Snowden did, and become a whistleblower and do something good for society, rather than spreading disinformation.

Proxy servers are very very important, and if they don't work on an operationg system on purpose, than everybody should boycott this company and buy an other computer.

It is very clear that Apple does not want to solve this problem, and has created this proxy server block on MacOs X 10.9 Mavericks on purpose, so people are shunned from accessing information outside the restrictions of what their governments allows people to do.

Here leaves our freedom, and faschism is already in our homes, on our computers, and guys like you are still giving comments like that, as if it completely ok to stomp right across our rights to freedom of information to everywhere.

To repeat what William said..... "Read the TOS of these forums. These are user to user forums, and Apple does not read them, or provide support here."

"Apple does not read them, or provide support here."

Why the **** do you keep asking if this dude works for Apple? One of the only things his post said was that people from Apple don't answer questions here.

I don't have an answer to your question either... I just wanted to make it even more abundantly clear that no one here is working for Apple. Because, again, Apple does not read these forums....nor provide any support...here. Like William (the guy you keep asking if he's working for Apple) just said.
