Possible to revert to Pages '09 by zipping it before upgrading?

Hi,

I am thinking of trying the new update (after I install Mavericks). If I find I don't like the new version, is zipping the old version a sufficient safety net to allow me to go back to '09?

Thanks!

iMac, OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.4)

I don't if the upgrade will work the same way for you, but after I installed the new version of Pages (5.0), the old version (4.3) remained on my Mac and was still usable by via ctrl click and choosing Open with Other Application from the menu.

After having tried the "stunning interface", I deleted Pages 5.0 from Launchpad and reverted to the still installed Pages 4.3. I don't know if was necessary, but I also reselected Pages 4.3 as the default app for Pages documents.

Good luck!
