iMac updated with Mavericks and also itunes updated to 11.1.2. Now it appears i cannot add artwork to my movies? I've not had any problems until this week! Anyone having same issue?

Yes. Same issue after Mavericks was installed. Tried images that I have used for other files (which worked prior) and they won't work either. I need this fixed because the inconsistency in my itunes drives me crazy
Having the same issue here. In fact some of my already added movies artwork is disappearing as well. I open the "Get Info" window, drag the image into the artwork box, click OK, but the artwork doesn't appear. I did get it to work once by exporting out of Quicktime, but it took ages.
Does anyone have a fix for this? I am having the same issue.
I've found if you use Quicktime player to export ti iTunes, the Artwork option works, but not with any other conversion software such as Smart Convertor.
There is a thread where someone manage to get this fixed with a help from Apple tech...
Update: I was on the phone for about an hour and a half with a Senior Tech. He is escalating it to the engineers and said I should have an update mid next week. If we can fix it I will post the fix
I can confirm that the iTunes 11.1.3 update has somehow fixed the problem for me for now. I am able to add artwork for my TV Shows. However I am unable to change other field for dome other file. For files in TV shows I cannot change the name field or genre filed or number out of disc. For FIles in MOvies I cannot change the last two tabs - Artwork and text. Hm, weird things happening to iTunes libraries these days...
Not fixed for me. Adding artwork to TV Shows was never an issue, its the Movies that still won't accept Artwork unless I export out from Quicktime. Nothing wrong with Quicktime, but its so slow.
Not fixed for me either. Artwork in palce is still there and has not been affected but I am unable to add any artwork to Movies or TV Shows.
If I downlaod from the I-Tunes store the artwork with the file is Ok and works with no issue.
I am still unable to add artwork to movies, even after 11.1.3 update. Problem started after Mavericks & 11.1.2 update. Adding artwork to TV & Music have not been affected at all. Anyone have any idea?
I have found a fix for me. It is an app called iFlicks, it is free for now on Mac App Store, because there is a new version. This app can add all the metadata as there are in iTunes Store for Movies and Tv Shows.

It is fixed in OSX 10.9.2 because of fixing the SMB2 reliability.
Finally, now I can fix the artwok for 200+ movies
Just tried. This didn't work either, the Artwork tab was still grayed out (not letting me select it). But, however, I found that if I selected all my files at once, right-clicked to Get Info, confirmed to editting multiple items at once, that it did let me add artwork to all my files at once. After this I was able to go back and edit the Artwork tab on each file individualy. Weird bug!
I have an even more weird situation:
Updated to Yosemite and iTunes 12.0.1.26
My movies are saved to a WDMyCloud network drive. I have both a MacBook Pro and an iMac connected to the network. On the MBP, iTunes works perfectly. On the iMac, the following incomprehensible problem:
1. The movies are added easily enough.
2. I am able to add all info (Title, genre, year, etc ...), except:
3. When I add a .jpg file for the artwork, it does not load.
4. And when I try to add it again, iTunes does not 'see' the network drives (although they are visible in Finder).
5. When I quit iTunes, and restart, it sees the network drives gain, but then the problem starts for 1 above, all over again.
Go figure.
Any suggestions would be most welcome.
