Hi! Im using the new Maverick OS on my Macbook. I was wondering if theres anyone that could help pinpoint the errors I've made? I am trying new imap system for Mail app and I cant figure out how to get Outlook to connect. I have posted the following pictures below. Any help would be apprechated! (BTW I have googled and youtube the instructions but they are outdated or using old version of Operating system and Mail app.)
MacBook, OS X Mavericks (10.9), Mail App
Add Account -> Add Other Mail Account -> Type your outlook.com user / pass
It will error out and ask you to enter credentials manually. Use the information below and make sure IMAP is choosen. I didn't have to enter the port manually and it worked
Incoming IMAP
Server: imap-mail.outlook.com
Server port: 993
Encryption: SSL
Outgoing SMTP
Server: smtp-mail.outlook.com
Server port: 587
Encryption: TLS
