Q: Mac Mini (Late 2012) OS X 10.8.5 & Server 2.2.2 with Pegasus R6

Hello

Caution!!!

To all users of Mac mini Intel i7 combined with Pegasus R4 or R6 for storage, connected via Thunderbolt cable .

The problem arises when the service data (e-mail, addresses, calendar etc. ..) stored on the Pegasus. Under Server Settings, the service data is used in the selection and Pegasus is selected.

Now we restart and the system is fast and quickly back up.

But then it shows the following error:

The path for the service data points back to the internal drive, in my case on the SSD RAID1 from Mac Mini instead of to the Pegasus RAID5.

The further errors are then a clear case, the Profile Manager & Wiki can

no longer read the settings (message: Error reading the settings) and also destroyed the mail server.

Also a reset or restart of data no longer works, since various folder &

data is missing.

The only way is to bring back a disk image backup everything to fix or via a terminal.

I save my Timemachine Backups with Time-Editor & create with the CCC-tool\

daily with a built-in scheduler a disk image (Image AESKey grows with you) is the reason for a disk image is not all the data from the server the Time-Machine stores,

a disk image but nice ; -)

So I could limit the damage and via Backup back to version 10.8.4 and Server 2.2.1.

This version will work with at least the restart, the path of the service data remains ; -)

Another error 10.8.4 and Server 2.2.1 is the following:

If you completely shut down and all the system shutdown, is actually correct when re-start of the system to ensure that the first storage Pegasus R4 or R6 is completely started, otherwise the same error occurs as described above.

These errors occur only with Mac Minis have installed on the thunderbolt.

10.8.5 The System & Server 2.2.2 on a Mac mini (2010) without Thunderbolt but with FireWire, is running without any problems, you can even start, stop or disconnect the external drive, and the system will wait patiently until you connect the drive with the service data again. After that it takes about 2 minutes and the system powers up again without an error ; -)

I've tested on a Mac mini Dual Core 2010 & WD 2TB FireWire.

Greetings to all

Mac mini, OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.4), Pegasus R6 Storage & WD 6TB
