Scrolling on the trackpad in preview is occasionally freezing following OSX Mavericks install. I am only experiencing this in preview whilst scrolling through PDF's. Wondering if anyone else is having this problem? Using a MBPR 2012 with 16gb RAM so unlikely to be related to any hardware insufficency.

I was having the same problem, two finger scrolling was not working. I notice that it was only happening in the browser, chrome, safari and firefox.
I closed the apps and restarted them, then the two finger scrolling started working again.
All my other trackpad gestures were working.
Thanks Jason but the problem is unrelated to issues discussed in your links. This is a Mavericks glitch as it started straight after I installed it.
Any resolution to this yet?
It is extremely frustrating to lose trackpad capabilities while on the web - doesn't work in Chrome, Safari, or Firefox that I've tried. Works for a couple pages, then stops altogether.
Scrolling also stops working on my Bamboo pen input tablet.

The more people do it, the more likely it will be that they will addresss the issue.

This is a dissappointing problem
I have 2 MacBook Pro's, one from 2011 and one from mid 2012. Both used to have smooth scrolling (two finger scrolling) when viewing PDF's in Preview. After the update to Mavericks, both stick/freeze very often when scrolling between two different pages in the PDF. Very annoying and makes it difficult to study

Just one of the many Mavericks bugs that Apple are reluctant to acknowledge and slow to fix.
I have this freezing issue as well.
It occurs when vertically scrolling through PDF's in Preview.
I have to reposition the app window to unfreeze the document and start scrolling again.

Still, I think that it's a good idea to provide Apple with feedback for them to fix it for everyone.
Worked for me as well! Yippee! Glad to have this annoying bug fixed or at least averted.
Unfortunately, I guess that I was a bit too fast. Preview is stilling lagging for me. Awaiting OSX 10.9.1, which hopefully includes a fix.
This is very irritating!! The MacRumours Forum didnt work for me. Bring on the 10.9.1 with bug fix please!
