After Updating to the new version of apples OS (OSX Mavericks) i am unable to use my SD-Card-Drive.
I have a MacBook Pro (13-inch, Mid 2012) with a build-in Card Reader. It cannot read any cards since the update.
I used SD, SDHC, Micro-SD with adapter and so on . Various Versions from different Manufactors, but nothing works out?
Any Ideas?

By the way I rebooted the MBP more than 3 times - but nothing happend...
I have the same issue with my Macbook Air 13", since the mavericks update i cant use the card reader at all
I have this problem to with my Macbook Pro w/ Retina 15" early 2013 model,After updating to Mavericks I can't read any SD cards using the SD card reader
I'm joining this club - unable to access SD cards after upgrade on my early 2013 Retina Macbook Pro 15". Fortunately still have Mac Mini on 10.8 otherwise would be really annoying..

Same for my MacBook Pro 13" from 2009.
Even my SD Card reader isn't working after updating to Maverick... **** IT!

Oh. That is even worse...
At least I can find my Card Reader in the System Infortmation Panel.
I hope Apple will deliver an update soon...
Add me to the list. My SanDisk micro SD card worked just fine last week in my 2012 13" MacBook Air. Today, using Mavericks, it doesn't.
But at least the Card Reader shows up in the System Information Panel, so maybe I should be grateful for small favors?
This is a serious bug with a very high annoyance factor.
Tried resetting PRAM. It sees the Built in SD Card Reader but won't access it.
SD reader not working here also.
iMac 27-inch, Late 2009. Upgraded to Mavericks and SD reader has totally disappeared (not seen by system information).
No issue on my 2012 Mini.
Send Apple feedback. They won't answer, but at least will know there is a problem. If enough people send feedback, it may get the problem solved sooner.
