Jan 22, 2016 10:37 AM in response to helen88aby jalaludink,Yes munte89's fix worked for me too! I have a mid-2011 27" iMac, and putting the tab in the middle of the micro SD card adapter mounted my card!
Thanks much! silly apple.

May 22, 2016 2:59 AM in response to munte89by TimFromBreda,*** this indeed worked, as soon as I switched my card to 'locked' it showed up..
'
The SD card will have a lock slider (similar to good old floppies). If it's on unlock/lock, the card won't read.
If you put the slider in between, about a third of the way from unlocked to locked (NB! Not in the middle), the card reader will recognize the card.
It a silly fix, but it has worked for me several times.

Now trying to set it half-way to hope to make it writable
EDIT: Now that I've done this, I slightly moved it back, tried it a few times and now just even with the normal 'open' position (like it was originally) it also works fine again, that's weird, but hey !

Aug 25, 2016 12:57 PM in response to TimFromBredaby local_dani_21,GREAT, that was it. No genious bar guy could figure this out. They only wanted to replace the mother board. You saved my last 4 weeks! Thanks!
