Q: After updating to Mavericks, get this during Permissions Repair: Warning: SUID file “System/Library/CoreServices/RemoteManagement/ARDAgent.app/Contents/MacOS/ARDAg ent” has been modified and will not be repaired"?

I've had this show way back since Snow Lepard. It'll follow you ever since. Its harmless however and hasn't affected the computer in any form.

From what I know, an Apple Remote Desktop update modified that file and since then, that permission shows up in all computers where this update was installed

Mine never had that, it only developed after upgrading to a new OS. Could that change files?

I assumed it had permissions altered since the Snow Lepard update. After that update these message appeared. Oh well, I was hoping at some point after these new updates it would clear it but not happened yet.

I have just started seeing this message and, almost simultaneously, have started to have problems with various different apps crashing for no real reason. Just a coincidence?

For interest, SketchUp crashed with the message

"Exception Type:  EXC_BAD_ACCESS (SIGSEGV)

Exception Codes: KERN_INVALID_ADDRESS at 0x00000000f7f7fff9"

and QuarkXpress with the message

"Exception Type:  EXC_BAD_ACCESS (SIGBUS)

Exception Codes: KERN_PROTECTION_FAILURE at 0x0000000000000000"

Am I just punching at shadows or could these be linked?

Hope someone can put my mind at rest.
