Q: Continuous scrolling not working in Calendar month view

Scrolling does not work in Calendar month view. I have toggled System Preferences >General > Show scroll bars to "Always on." Still nothing in Calendar month view.

BUT, wait! Now every other app (except Calendar month view) now has the scroll bar "Always on" even though I toggled back to "Automatically based on...", then restarted my computer. I don't want to see the scroll bars all the time but now I can't hide them anywhere. It seems "Always on" amd "Automatically based on..." now do the same thing. Serious bug.

Any hints? Thanks

Go to Week View, scroll from side to side a couple times, then scroll up and down in Week View. Go back to Month View, vertical scrolling should be working again.

I am also having this problem.

The scroll wheel works fine everywhere else in Mavericks.

The trackpad works just fine everywhere in calendar, and week and day views on the calendar scroll just fine with the scroll wheel, it is just month view that doesn't want to work.

I have a generic mouse and am using Steermouse to control functions.

Has anyone found an answer for this?

Whoa!  I have put your picture on my wall next to Iron Man, The Black Widow and that geeky blonde chick from Arrow.  What a hero!

I selected Sleep from the Apple menu, then clicked the mouse to wake it up and Kaboofa! Calendar scrolls up and down like... - and there is a joke in there somewhere but I will leave it to you, the Black Widow and Felicity to find it for yourselves.

I've had a few problems with the trackpad in OS X but if you go into System Preferences -> Trackpad and untick the box(es) and re-tick them it seems to fix the problems immediately!

I have searched my iMac, and Container.plist does not come up - anywhere. I did follow instructions for "go>Lib>etc." by file not there.

    Any suggestions?

By the way, scrolling works fine on my MacBook Pro. Just not on the iMac

    Thanks

I seemed to solve the issue I was having.

I turned the magic mouse off for 10 secs and wiped it down, as well as my hands. and turned it back on again. and it was fine.

Make sure your hands and magic mouse are clean.

I tried all the suggestions and none of them worked until I re-booted the computer and that fixed it!

I switched from my preferred Kensington bluetooth mouse with a scroll wheel to a spare Magic Mouse and swiping down on the MM with a finger finally allowed me to scroll vertically while in month view (showing a continuous list of days in a familiar calendar month grid sort of way.

It does seem to be some failed functionality between older mice with a scroll wheel and the newer functions made possible with the MM.

Rebooting also fixed my MBP running 10.9.5.

It was definitely not a problem with the trackpad as it was working fine on other applications or views (e.g. week view), but only the month view stops scrolling.

I had this issue too (still run mavericks on iMac)

I noticed my batteries were down to 10% so i replaced them. (quit out of calendar too before i did), then paired the mouse again, and reopened calendar... and problem solved.  I never had to reboot my system.

The problem occurred for me right after i imported a calendar i created at work iCal into my home iCal by double clicking on it.. i kept getting an error that said i had duplicate calendar entries (these errors didn't clear until i deleted the offending calendar entries... yet another ical bug i guess).  Anyway, right after this error happened and was resolved, I got the scrolling problem.

    Hope this helps someone!

I have changed mouse and the problem still exist. Have also upgraded  to El Capitan when it came out and the problem still exist.

I will receive my new MBP 15" on some days and will try this on the new machine when it is totally virgin to see if this gets corrected or if this is a super bug that affects everybody that does not have an Apple mouse.

The mouses I have tested with are:

    Rollermouse Pro

    Rollermouse Red

    Rollermouse Red Plus

Generic mouse from Dell and HP.

As posted before scrolling on month view in Calendar works perfectly.
