When I click on a song, it says it is playing, but displays 0:00 with no sound. I've already tried letting it load...It just stays that way. Does any one know why and how to fix that?

I too am having the same problem on Windows 8.1, and there are other, similar questions in the top ten discussions, so it's clearly a widespread problem. The linked article isn't helpful, I'm afraid - it hasn't even been updated to apply to Windows 8.

I posted a moment ago and have the same problem (the linked article has no help that applies) - I have Win 8.1 and a Lenovo Ultabook, and my songs are stuck at 0.00 which makes my iPod purchases worthless. I'd like to know what the fix is and when Apple will release a fix? (I am using the newest update on iTunes).

I had this issue too Geaatl, but closing iTunes completely and running again by - right-click - run as administrator - worked for me, hopefully it does for you too.

Running as administrator worked for my laptop speakers but not my headset. I had to go to iTunes preferences > Playback and change Play Audio Using to Direct Sound. Now everything works.

I recently downloaded the newest version of iTunes and I had the same issue where iTunes wouldn't play my music. turns out my laptop needed an update. After I did the update, itunes worked just fine

I just had the same problem! All I did was quit the iTunes application and reopened. Everything was fine.
