Should I wait to upgrade to Maverick's??? Phones??? iPads???

It seems everytime I see an update is released for any Apple product there is a flurry of issues...

Because of this, my ipad 2 is still on IOS5...My Iphone 5 is still on IOS6...

All I read is about how things are lost, stop working etc...

I realize that if someone upgrades and has no issues, they don't post their success online...

I've read people have lost photos in iPhoto, Safari doesn't work, VPN stops working, etc.

Should I upgrade my brand new 27" imac? If I have issues, who will fix it? How about my other apple stuff listed below?

Starting to loose all faith in ALL apple products.

What we as a family own:

2007 imac 10.6.?

2013 imac 27" 10.8.5

ipad 2 32gb IOS5

ipad mini IOS7 - daughter updated

iphone 5 IOS 6

iphone 4 - 2 of these, not updated

Mine is running fine, so are hundreds of thousands of others. As you stated yourself, this is the emergency room for problems and folks who have a seamless experience don't come to brag about it, most aren't even aware of this site.

There are a few minor bugs, as with any first release, but nothing that gets in the way of my workflow and I've been using the system for about 5 months now. Overall it should be faster than 10.8 because of the improvements on the way memory is handled.

An important site to visit is

roaringapps.com

where you find compatibilty tables for a lot of applications. For Mavericks the tables are being filled rather quickly now. It is very frustrating when you have apps that you need everyday, and that are not updated in time to solve an incompatibility with Mavericks....

iPhone5: when everything is OK in iOS6: great step forward.

iPad2 and Mini: great step forward.

iPhone4 and 4s: there were a lot of people having problems, read this forum, but I think 7.0.3 solved these: great step forward.

2013 iMac Mlion: great step forward.

2007 iMac SL?: I hesitate, like to know a little bit more, baout the machine, and about what you do with it. In principle a great step forward.

Should I wait to upgrade to Maverick's??? Phones??? iPads???
