First of all the Kindle app is an Amazon product, and this place is for Apple products.

That being said, you're assuming that the Kindle App does something that it doesn't do. You do not synch Kindle books from your iMac to your iPad. Doesn't work that way. All of your Kindle books sit in the Amazon Cloud. You must register your iPad Kindle to your Amazon account name/password. Then Books will appear in the Amazon Cloud (not Apple's iCloud), and then you pick and choose which ones you want to download to your iPad.

I hope this is clear.
