Is there a way to turn off "tags" in OSX Mavericks?

Hi,

I find this particular system pretty unuseful for me. More than anything, it's annoying. I colour label a lot of things, where say all of the "Red" tags don't neccisarily relate to each other at all. I want the old way of my colour managment back - not this new tagging system.

Please if anyone knows of a way to revert back. Thank you
