I removed the side bar that would show the beginning of an e-mail and at the time I decided I did not like it.
Well. I would like to put it back but I cannot seem to find where it is located.
It is the one that lists the individual e-mails not the e-mail accounts.
Can you please direct me to the location.

Try Mail/Window/Message Viewer (command - o).
No it did not work.
I tried hitting the line and also hitting the Command and O buttons, both the letter and number for o in mail.
Is there a unlock I need to do somewhere?

How did you remove it? I can't figure out how to do that. Classic view or not?
I do not know, whenever it became available I think I did it then.
Is there a classic and new view?
where would I see that?
Ok I just unclicked classic and the messages all appeared but not as a side bar rather is the body with the beginning of the message, my concern is that it opens the message immedately and a spammer can get the address,
I have a friend who has it on the side bar and the main panel just has the list of e-mails
