Started downloading OS X Mavericks - laptop has erased all memory.

can you get into recovery partition with CMD + R?

Can you get to normal desktop mode?

Or are you claiming your SSD is wiped and your machine is blank?

I downloaded Mavericks and lost all my files. computer reset to like new. works, but lost all pictures and files. all settings lost. Any way to find them do you think? or are they gone?

Did you happen to set up a new account in setup assistant?

Log back into your old/original account Users/ OLD ACCOUNT NAME / Folder to get your file.
