Since Mavericks, my mouse won't swipe back to previous page in Web.

I think I installed Mavericks too hastily.

Since Mavericks there have been a few problems. One really irritating one is that I can't swipe back to the previous page using my mouse. (I've tried Safari and Aurora Firefox, it won't work).

The window moves a little, but that is about it. The keyboard shortcut command [ doesn't work (My keyboard is German: QUERTZ). All in all, although there are some nice features, there are still a lot of bugs.

Does anyone have a tip about returning to the former page using the mouse? Thanks.

System Preferences>Mouse

REcheck EVERYTHING.

I have NO IDEA why they all end up unchecked on loading Mavericks but ALL mine were.

This was the answer that solved the mouse problem.
