Q: Contacts and calendars cannot be synced on the iPod "%1$S"
I have an iPod Touch 4th gen. i'm a bit ashamed to say i've cracked the screen multiple times. however, it's been a very long time since it was cracked and no problems had occurred until now.
Today when i tried to sync it with itunes, it did start to sync when i connected it, but in the place of where it should say "(name)'s iPod", it says "Contacts and calendars cannot be synced on the iPod "%1$S"." When I click on it, iTunes crashes every time. However, as long as i don't click it, it doesn't crash and works fine.
I haven't found any problems yet with the iPod itself.
iPod touch, iOS 6.1.3

This is similar to what I did to resolve the problem, however I did it to a further extent.
As I have Windows 8, there is something called a "Refresh your PC" where you can basically "refresh" your entire PC. However, while doing this, you lose all of your downloaded files and applications, but your documents and photos are still remaining.
Although it was quite frustrating to download back everything that I lost, it did fix the problem. I resynced my iPod onto my newly-downloaded iTunes and it worked perfectly fine.
I'm sure if you follow bp6118's instructions, it'll be fixed as well.
