New Time Capsule will not back up my 2009 MacBook Pro. I can see and find my last back before Mavericks but cannot backup.

New Time Capsule will not back up my 2009 MacBook Pro. I can see and find my last back before Mavericks but cannot backup. The TC will not allow me to delete or start a new backup disk. My 2024 MacBook Air did the same yesterday but today it backs up.

Seems to be working now. I left the MacBook on all morning trying to back up and now works.
