WiFi disconnects by it self Mavericks problems

Since I upgraded to Mavericks I have been experiencing problems with the WiFi connection. Specially when not using the computer for a few minutes. I find this very disturbing since I might want to keep connected for any purpose. Is there any change in Mavericks software that could be causing this?

I also found that Mavericks seems to be little less smooth than Mountain Lion. I don't think that would have to do with a lack of resources in the coputer.

Thanks,

Same here - mavericks disconnects every few minutes and that causes internet calls, ssh connections and downloads to drop.

I need to manually reselect the network in order to reconnect to it.

Quite annoying!

Me too - same problem on three machines after upgrading to Mavericks - a Mac Pro, a 17"MacBook Pro and a 13" Mac Book Air - immediately after I boot any of these machines I cannot access my network, and it often takes my entire network down (e.g., Windows machines on the same network loose connection as well). If I power off my router and switch for 10 seconds, then power back on, the problem fixes itself after a few minutes.

BTW - newwork connections vary - Mac Pro and MacBook Pro are using direct ethernet connection, MacBook Air is using Thunderbolt ethernet connection

Very annoying - Apple - PLEASE HELP!

Since upagrading to Mavericks 3 days ago, OSX 10.9 (13A603), I am experiencing internet disconnections about every 30 minutes or so. Our ISP is Rogers.com and we use the following cable modem supplied by Rogers for our home network (SMC D3 GN). My spouse is also experiencing disconnections, but only when my iMac is running. She has not yet upgraded to Mavericks (she is still using Mountain Lion).

The specs for my iMac are:

Model Name:iMac
Model Identifier:iMac12,2
Processor Name:Intel Core i7
Processor Speed:3.4 GHz
Number of Processors:1
Total Number of Cores:4
L2 Cache (per Core):256 KB
L3 Cache:8 MB
Memory:16 GB
Boot ROM Version:IM121.0047.B1F
SMC Version (system):1.72f2

Any assistance or suggestions would be appreciated.
