Hi cricri21, I found a solution that works for me:

You need to kill IPV6:

Open a Terminal: Application->Tools(Utilitaires)->Terminal

in the terminal: type

networksetup -listnetworkserviceorder

a list of all your network adapter will be display

Then deactivate the adapters you use to stream over airplay (I have deactivated IPV6 for ALL my adapters):

Type:

networksetup -setv6off "Name Of Your Adapter" so for Ethernet (Wire connection RJ45):

networksetup -setv6off Ethernet

Enter Root password if required

You can check in Systemes Prefrences->Network->Adapter->Advanced->TCPIP->IPV6 is set to disabled

Restart your mac

And finaly, lithen your music!!!

Hello,

I have a setup like this >

ISP < = > Airport Extreme ( also provides wifi) < = > Netgear 8 port gigabit switch < = > Denon AVR 1912

All my apple devices had problems picking up the airplay on the Denon.

After changing it so that I have Denon plugged directly into the Airport Extreme I have no problems anymore.

My laptop picked it up automatically.

I did not do any packet trace and do not know yet what is wrong with the netgear.

I'll post an update if I have time but dont rely on it.

Hope the above helps.

Best,

M.
