Safari power saver in an iMac

I'm using an iMac , on safari I received a pop up message safari power saver - click to start Flash plug-in.

In an iMac I don't have a battery but I've heard that I can reduce heat and fan operation

Can someone explain me please what to do and how ?

Thanks

iMac, OS X Mountain Lion, 10.8.3

If its a feature that you do not feel is relevant in your setup, you can turn it off in Safari > Prefernces > Advanced.

That's really a person preference.

If when you load a web page and you like all content to be avaliable on first load, then you have the setting off.

I personally leave the setting on, as web pages can be faster to load and if I wanr to see what is there, then I will click on it. This can be useful for sites that have a heavy advertising focus.

Try it with it on and off, and see which experience you prefer.
