After installing Mavericks, Messages and FaceTime is not working

Hi,

I've upgraded my MacBook pro 10.8.5 to Mavericks.

After installing, Messages and FaceTime are not starting.

Apps are bouncing several times and then gives an error popup.

An internal-Facetime error, is the message and in the console.

27-10-13 14:54:18,832 FaceTime[1691]: [Warning] Bad response from daemon for setup info

27-10-13 14:54:19,217 soagent[1693]: No active accounts, but FaceTime or Messages is running. Will check again in 30 seconds

27-10-13 14:54:19,940 FaceTime[1691]: [Warning] Daemon connection failed, no services.

Tried several solutions, but didn't helped.

- Delete allready all ichat & facetime preferences from ~/library/preference/

- Selected my card user in contacts.

- Reinstalled Mavericks.

On same machine and other user works fine.

Maybe someone a solution?

Hi,

Did you delete the com.apple.imessages.bag.plist and com.apple.imservice.imessages.plist ?

I would also try deleting com.apple.imagent.plist as this is used by both FaceTime and iMessages.

If none of those work I would open Keychain Access in Applications/Utilities and use the Repair Keychain in the App Menu.

Yes the plists were deleted.

If I repair the keychain I get : OS_dispatch_source textStorage]: unrecognized selector sent to instance 0x608000134fa0

Looks like there is something seriously wrong.

Whats next?

Hi,

At this point we have passed my knowledge limits on the Keychain.

I would Search the Mountain Lion forum for more info that might be relevant.

I have the same error [OS_dispatch_source textStorage]: unrecognized selector sent to instance 0x608000325c80. Only if i try to use keychain repair tool. But i cannot find any problem on my macbook... something to do with the new icloud keychain in maverick. Recently installed the test update for mail.app, but that is working fine without any errors etc. So if you find the solution, please give me a sign. Thanks
