Graphical glitches after installing mavericks

I have a MBA 2012

After I´ve installed Mav I get random glitches with the graphics. I have re-booted several times. I occurs both in dual screen use as normal laptop use. Sometimes its only in the dock but some times all over the screen as in the attached picture... Is there any solution or fix? Does anyone else have the same issue?

It looks like Apple's aware of the problem and is working on fixes related to "graphics drivers" in beta versions of 10.9.1...

I've been having issues with both the Mail app and these graphics glitches, so hopefully the next update will fix all of this.

SOLUTION V2

The switching off of automatic graphics switching did not work for me, the problem was very persistant today no matter what I did

THEN I REMEMBERD, last week the problem started just as I was about to give a presentation to a university faculty, I had no time to play so I jacked in the Mini AVI VGA adapter for the projector and hoped the projection would work even if my screen was glitchy

restarted the laptop the and the problem went away and stayed away for the next 6 days as I gave four more lectures.

Today it started again (my problems seem worse than most examples I have seen here, my whole screen goes out sometimes with blue vertical lines).

TODAY I jacked in my Mini AVI VGA adapter (projector not atatched) and its fine again. I took it out for a few hours then when I hooked up my iPhone, iPhoto launched, mid importing some photos it happned again, had to force restart, jacked in the Mini AVI VGA adapter and its fine agaian.

so I have a work around.

looking forward to an OS patch

I am using:

MacBook Pro

17-inch, Early 2011

Processor 2.3 GHz Intel Core i7

Memory 8 GB 1333 MHz DDR3

Graphics AMD Radeon HD 6750M 1024 MB

Serial Number C02G40S5DRJN

Software OS X 10.9 (13A603)

I think that this fix is likely doing the same thing as those who are using gfxCardStatus to change from the integrated to the discrete graphics card. It seems that for some reason toggling the graphics card in use helps to alleviate the issue.

I've been having the same issue as those have listed above. Seems to me that it must be a software bug and was hoping that Apple would have it fixed in 10.9.1 but I am still having the issues so it seems they didn't. Hopefully they are aware of it and working on pushing out a fix as it is a pretty annoying issue to have...

P.S. when I restart there was a brief screen flash and large graphic aborations (big squares across the bottom of the screen) just as it was before the motherboard change.

and for the record : before the change of motherboard I had

Reinstalled OS 10.9

Restarted with command R repaired disk and repaird permissions - Results OK

Restarted with finger on D then performed hardware test. Results OK

Restarted with Shift alt command for a power managment reset

Restarted with alt command PR to reset the PRAM

Now I have a new motherboard and all seems OK except for those brief graphic aborations on startup,

I was also experiencing these issues on my mid-2010 iMac. Graphical glitches all over the place and my computer would hang. Constant restarts.

Then I realized that I had decided to switch back to using Safari as my main browser (since it got an update with Mavericks and I wanted to play with iCloud Keychain) and that necessitated installing Flash which I had never installed when I was using Chrome.

I remembered this because I started detecting a trend as to when the glitches would appear--whenever I went to a site in Safari that had some sort of Flash element. So I uninstalled Flash.

That was 3 days ago. Zero problems since.

...Oh, and I switched back to using Chrome. 😟 (But 🙂 at stuff working again.)

YMMV

I have a similar problem with glitches when i reboot my Macbook Pro 13"( mid 2011) while its connected to my benq external monitor via 'mini display to hdmi'. The boot up hangs and I am left with no choice but to force shutdown the laptop. The MBP boots up with no issues as long as the HDMI cable is unplugged. Ive tried even booting up the above mentioned setup while the benq is powered down and the IEC power cable is unplugged, but to no avail. IMO, it is an issue with Mavericks that Apple has not bothered to address for a while, as there seem to be far to many similar complaints on these forums, since the release of osx 10.9. Any light on this issue would be much appreciated.
