Stylus RMX doesn't open in LogicPro 9.1.8 but does show in AU manager
I've unistalled and reinstalled RMx.
I have upated(1.9.6e) and Data 1.7)
iMac 2.5 GHz Intel Core i5
8gb 1333 MHz
OS X 10.8.5
I suppose it's not an 64bit issue?

That version of Spectrasonics Stylus RMX works fine here in LP9 and LPX with all OS's to date including Mavericks.. (Assuming thats the plugin you are referring to and not say the Pioneer RMX plugin)
Make sure you are looking in the right place..... (if you are new to Logic Pro)
When you say it doesn't open.. do you mean it shows up in the Software Instrument list but when you click on it it doesn't open.. or do you mean it doesn't show up in the Software instrument list? (I ask because these are two different issues)
