Access to iTunes store via Windows 8 pc

I have recently purchased Windows 8 computer. I have added my iTunes account to this new PC. I can listen to all my music but I cannot connect to the iTunes store via this new PC (I am currently using my old Windows Vista PC to access the iTunes help info). I keep getting an error message saying I should check my internet connection but that is fine (both on WiFi and through a wired connection).

Sorry, still not working. I've loaded Windows 8.1 and the latest version of iTunes. All the music plays but I simply can't connect to the iTunes store. The WiFi is working for everything except being able to connect to the iTunes store. Error message is as follows:

iTunes has stopped working

A problem caused teh program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available

Not sure what else to try.

I note this post was in October, but just in case you haven't solved your problem, here is the simple fix.

Copy QTMovieWin.dll from: C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Apple\Apple Application Support

to: C:\Program Files (x86)\iTunes

Just be sure to COPY that dll file (don't MOVE it) and paste into the C:\Program Files (x86)\iTunes file.

Hopefully you've already discovered this fix, but if not, this will do it.
