Macbook Pro Types Number 9 Involuntarily 99like this...

My 999Mac9book pro types the number nine at random, and repeatedly... sometimes, I have to battle against long strings of nines being typed... Does anyone know what causes this9?

It seems to happen in 9w9hate9v9er application I'm using, whether it's a browser, a Word document, search engine... the most challenging is typing passwords 9where I 99can't see what's being typed... I can't usually tell when nines have been inserted because it inserts really fast... sometimes with multple nines... I've had a continuous string of nines start typi9ng in9 a pas9sword dialog box numerous times.

Anyone out there that has some insight9 in9to this9, I 9would 9tr99u9ly appreciate it.

P.S. I left the nines in this message on purpose so you can see what's happnening. Thanks.

Hi

I am having an issue with my macbook pro/retina display keyboard. When I type the word go out in safari browser or in other apps it starts typing the word good. I delete and re-try typing go out and it still types in the word good. However, typing in this forum I notice it works fine. Any conclusions?

I'm glad to hear it was as simple as deleting your shortcut words. If you hear of any solutions that may be applicable to this 9keyboard i9ssue, please post it.

I found out my problem was I created shortcuts on my phone for messaging. My macbook and iphone linked together so everytime I was trying to type a word go it would show up as my shortcut word. Deleted my short cut words, solved it.
