Archived mail from iPhone and Mavericks on iMac

Before upgrading to Mavericks, when I would delete an email message on my iPhone I had it set to ARCHIVE the message not send it to trash. This way when I got home, I would open the Mail app on my iMac and there would be an Archive folder. Then I could look through the stuff again and then send whatever I don't want to trash.

But ever since the upgrade, it takes a while - sometimes several minutes - for the Mail App to display the Archive Folder in the side bar. This never happened before Mavericks. I was wondering if anyone else has seen this behavior and if so, how to correct it?

Thanks,

iMac, Mac OS X (10.7.1)
