Q: When I plug in my eMac, the wall socket pops and sparks..
Okay so a bit of background;
I was given a free eMac, it had no power cord, no keyboard or mouse, but I had all that so I was okay with it, well, I got home, plugged it in and the outlet popped and SPARKED, not like a little spark you would see if you plug something in, but a BIG spark and a loud pop.
I tried using 2 different power cords, an old PC Power Cord I had (I doubted it would work anyway, and it sparked) I then tried it with the power cord from my iMac 21.5' (Mid-2012) and that sparked too! So I'm wondering, do I need an eMac specific cable? Is the computer fried beyond repair or is it just something that can be fixed easily? (Ie; Capacitors)
From what I can tell without powering on the machine, it's the 2002 Model, with 256MB of RAM, please help!

Hi, it's not the power cord, is there a chance it git damp in transit?
Likely the PSU is bad, might be capacitors, yet with the spark, more may be fried now.
