Q: iWeb doesn't open my domain.site2 in 10.9 os x mavericks

My domain site has been working fine until recently. Now when I clicked on the domain site or tried opening it in iWeb (ver 3.0.2), iWeb will display the blue loading bar showing that it's opening the site, but nothing happens afterwards. I have tried restarting the program and rebooting. A few days ago I have installed the new 10.9 os x mavericks and it's sitll not working. Does anyone know what could be the problem?

Change the publish settings to folder, without actually selecting a folder.

Now you can delete the site in iWeb and still preserve the one on the server.

You should not get any message when you delete a website from a domain file by Control (right) - clicking on the site folder and selecting Delete Site in the contextual menu.

However, when you go to quit you'll get this message:

How are you deleting the site?

I can't see the second image you posted.

Regarding the first image: I'm must have missed a step somewhere. I do not have separate domain files for each site yet, which is what I am trying to create. I have only the one domain file that includes all the sites I have created. So I don't get that window that you show in the first image.

I was trying to create separate domain files by making a copy of the "all inclusive" file and deleting all the sites except one, which would then leave me with a separate file for that one site. I am trying to delete by clicking on the site name in the left panel of iWeb and hitting the Delete key or selecting Edit > Delete Site. That's when I get this message:

I just tried Wyodor's suggestion. I made several copies of the "all inclusive" domain file. I then deleted all but one site from one of those copies. They deleted with no problem. However ... much to my horror, when I opened the other copies, all those sites were deleted from the copies too. Thank goodness for backups!

    You were fooled by iWeb.

From Lion onwards, iWeb opens just one domain file.

If you have multiple domain files and  double-click to open them, iWeb still opens the original domain file.

So you double-clicked all your duplicates to open them, but in fact you were still looking at the same file.

Follow the link below to download iWebSites. When opened, all domain files will show.

Note that sometimes you have to try again, when iWeb opens the same file.

The application has been around since 2008.

Ahah! You are absolutely correct. I double-clicked on them. I shall go back (as soon as I get a chance) and open new renamed duplicates through iWebSwitchDomain.
