No sound output with Roland UA-25 after upgrading from Mountain Lion to Mavericks

I'm using Roland UA-25 in Garage band and after upgrading to Mavericks I cannot get sound output to work. Recording using the external soundcard's input seems to work but not the output. According to Roland the device should be compatible with Mavericks. Anyone else having the same issue? Please help!

MacBook Pro (13-inch Mid 2010), OS X Mavericks (10.9), Garageband/Roland UA-25

...or not. Now the output works but not the input..😕 I have tried switching the advanced mode off/on, changing the sample rate between 44, 48, 96hz, record mode vs play mode etc, reinstalling the drivers, unplugging the usb cable, changing the settings in Audio MIDI setup etc. Nothing works. It must be some kind of a firmware issue, I hope Roland fix this. Anyone tried using the old drivers for OSX 10.8? Imd4298 does the input work as well or do you have the same problem as me?

It's Roland's fault. Roland suggests not to upgrade to Mavericks in Late 2009 models because lots of users had issues. I can't undestand how can Mavericks work in Late 2009 MacBooks but Roland interfaces not (properly). My UA-4FX doesn't work in my MacBook (white) Late 2009. I send them several emails but no reply.

Visit the following link about Mavericks compatibility.

I hope Roland to fix this.
