Help!
I can recieve mail but not send its just saying,
Connections to the server “smtp.live.com” on the default ports timed out.
Ive tried deleting the mail account and then re-adding it again but its just coming up, hotmail.co.uk (offline)
Can anyone help me on this any help much appreciated

I had the same problem and found this on a micosoft support site. it worked for me, very easy to do. hope it works for you too.
. click on system preferences
. click on network
. click on ethernet (or wifi if thats your connection)
. click on advanced
. click on the DNS tab
. click on + box on left hand side
. type in 8.8.8.8
. click on + box again
. type in 8.8.4.4
. click on Apply
