I have a 2006 Macbook and its only capable of running OS X Lion.
The problem is i want to buy iPhoto but the minimum OS supported in the Mac App Store is Mavericks.
Is there a way I can still get the latest version for OS X Lion?

Ok, but i just heard that a feature is coming to the mac apps store, wich allows you to download previous versions of an app, similar to iOS. But will it work when I havent yet purcheased the app?
And if a buy an ilife '11 cd, will it update to the most recent version Lion can run?
OK but at some point or other I'e heard of a feature coming to every Apple device, software or servive that didn't actually show up. I'd be wary of trusting stuff you've heard anywhere from anyone except an official Apple source.
Yes, if you buy the installer disk you will be able to update to 9.4.3.
