I installed the new operating system OS X 9.0 and my performance degenerated. Spenning beachball, freezing up, slow for everything. Any fix for this problem?

How much ram does your MacBook have? The symptoms indicate that you need to upgrade your ram.

2gb is the stated bare minimum to run the OS, anything you try to run after that is going to cause exactly what you're complaining about. Your MacBook can use up to 8gb and I believe you'd be wise to upgrade.

I would avoid the bargain basement brands and be sure to get exactly the right ram or you'll have problems.
