I installed the new operating system OS X 9.0 and my performance degenerated. Spenning beachball, freezing up, slow for everything. Any fix for this problem?

2gb is the stated bare minimum to run the OS, anything you try to run after that is going to cause exactly what you're complaining about. Your MacBook can use up to 8gb and I believe you'd be wise to upgrade.

I would avoid the bargain basement brands and be sure to get exactly the right ram or you'll have problems.
Thanks for the help. I had some permisions problems...but when I got my 8 Gig memory everything is moving better than ever.
