When I set the output to 1080p on my ATV3, I get white marks and dots appear on the screen and the sound frequently cuts out for a couple of seconds.
My TV plays 1080p fine through bluray, why not with the ATV?
Are you using a high speed cable, even if you are try another one.
Yes I have been, I've gone through two seperate HDMI cables and neither have changed it
The described problem is typical of a cable issue, however if you are sure you have looked into this properly, then it could well be a hardware problem.
I was thinking that it would most likely be due to a hardware issue. Do you reckon the issue being with the TV or the apple tv?
I guess it could be either, are you able to try the Apple TV on another TV.
