"JPG" Photo Glitch

Hello, reportably, when taking a two certain photos the system froze, displayed the starting-up screen (silver Apple logo on a black background) or went to a screen saying "Updating libaray" and "Retoring photos". The result was this: two pictures that say "JPG" under a picture of a camera such as the one in the picture located below. Only one of these is visible from the album, however cannot be clicked on. Both can be traveled to by selecting a nearby picture and going either to the previous or next photo. Also, in Windows Photo Gallery it says about these glitches: "Windws Live Photo gallery can't display this photo becuase it is an empty files.
