Press power button twice

They changed the function of the power button. And I accidentally press the power button twice quickly and then... Tell me I am not the only one. I use Macbook air Mid 13.

When you pressed the button twice....What happened? Did it turn off and then back on? If you press the power button it will just put your computer to sleep. You have to press and hold it for 1.5 seconds to get the power options menu. You can also press "Control + Eject" to bring up the power menu. Otherwise if your computer is unresponsive, press and hold the power button for 5 seconds will cause it to force shut down. If you have anything open when doing this though, any unsaved information will be lost.
