How do I block unwanted contacts with iCloud?

Hello, I have a unwanted contact who keeps harassing me on my icloud account. I would like to permanently block, filter, or forward this contact away from my icloud account so that the messages are not viewable not even in trash. How can I do this without changing my entire email address? This email is linked with important contacts and content (itunes) and the harasser has made opening my inbox a horrifying experience.

Hi sizzlinsushi,

If you are receiving unwanted contacts at your iCloud email account, you may find the following article helpful:

  1. Filter email automatically (this will move email to trash)

Setup a filter to move the unwanted email address to the Trash Folder

  2. Erase messages immediately and permanently (this will empty trash)
    1. You can have iCloud Mail permanently and immediately erase messages when you delete them, instead of storing them in the Trash for 30 days.
    2. Choose Preferences from the Action pop-up menu in the sidebar.
    3. In the General pane, deselect “Move deleted messages to,” then click Done.
  3. Create a mail alias (this will cause the original sender to receive an error message, and overtime stop sending you emails)

Setup a new rule to forward the unwanted email address to a random mail alias address eg: unknown.sender2015@icloud.com
