Anyone having this (exclamation sign) Alert issue over the wifi icon saying no internet connection but can still browse and download? Mac Pro quadcore intel xeon....this just happened after updating to OS X Mavericks....
just got the solution from wifiguru......
Backup these 2 files:
/Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration/NetworkInterfaces.plist
/Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration/preferences.plist
Then delete these 2 files and reboot.

What does it mean to "backup a file"?
Just copy the 2 files somewhere or on your desktop just for precautions, then delete the original file from the library/preferences/systemconfiguration and restart your mac....
