HP Scanjet G3110 driver not functioning

I have accidentally installed the bundled software of my HP Scanjet G3110 on my macpro with OS X Lion without reading the instruction first, I must have downloaded the driver rather than installing it from the package disk, the isue is I can not make the scanner run, I've tried uninstalling already the divice driver and all the HP hardware drivers including printer and reinstall the software coming from the HP download support, but still I can't make it work.

I've done the scrubbing method already and have been updated to Mavericks, but still can't cant make it run. USB cable works fine with bootcamp, scanner runs well in bootcamp....and runs also well with my macbookpro, Uninstallation option is not possible as well. Image Capture can detect the scanner but it fails to open the session of the divice. I hope some one could help me solve this issue....

Hi there SparklesJen1,

Have tried repairing disk permissions, several times, reset printing preferences, just got no luck, I am still getting the same error uninstaller.plugin is missing...I've done all of these methods and been trying to repeat it all over again for more than 2 years since I got this problem. I can't still find the solution. 3rd party uninstaller apps didn't work for me either. The best solution I guess is just to replace my scanner.....

Hi antswork:

HP strives to have the current drivers, but many factors affect this issue. Currently with Maverick I suggest you use the built in Apple drivers. You should be able to scan from the print and scan window, print preview and image capture.

Is the scanner connected directly into an outlet or is it in a power bar. HP recommends it be connected directly into an outlet

I would repeat the scrub procedure, then restart the Mac. Check for Apple updates and install any HP. Try scanning now using the Apple interface ( image capture, preview or print and scan window. I am sending you a link to " OS X Mavericks: Scan images with a flatbed " http://bit.ly/1hq3FzX I hope this helps.
