windows 8.1 64 bit laptop will not let me accept an invite to a shared photo stream

I have downloaded and installed the uCloud Control Panel and made sure that Photos is ticked. I try to accept an invitation to view a shared photo stream but I get a message saying that it cannot be found. I know that this stream is still shared. Is it a 64 bit problem
