Mar 2, 2014 4:30 PM in response to seb101by Chrisbotcom,What works for me is disabling Bluetooth PAN and Thunderbolt Bridge in Network. Seems if there are other network services enabled, the Macbook doesn't try long enough and moes on the the other two. One detail that may be unique to my issue os there are 20 to 50 APs in earshot of my Macbook Air at any given time. Anyhoo, I'm patched up now.

Mar 3, 2014 4:08 PM in response to seb101by zigg1,Looks like 10.9.2 is working for me. I've got all my Bluetooth devices paired (including the portable speaker) and Wi-Fi is working great.

Mar 3, 2014 5:14 PM in response to Roland4518by Roland4518,Spoke too soon: this morning the problem reappeared. I again deleted the com.apple.Bluetooth.plist file, but this time it didn't help, so I went into System Preferences / Energy Saver and checked the box for "Enable Power Nap while on battery power." After sleeping for a few hours everything was OK. I will see how it does in the morning and if wifi still seems normal I will try re-pairing the Bluetooth headphones. Will the Power Nap feature run down my battery while sleeping if the MacBook is not plugged in?

Mar 4, 2014 7:09 AM in response to seb101by JRFINN,The issue with the wifi shutting off started before Mavericks. One day I was working and noticed that I didn't receive e-mails and noted that the wifi was searching even though it looked as though I was connected. I opened the wifi icon at the top of the screen and selected to shut it off then turned it back on, this resolved the immediate need to receive e-mail and surf but did not resolve the issue which is plaging everyone on this string. My system was not asleep as I was actively using it. I believe that it s a bug but am not sure. I've been though my wireless router numerous times and have not seen any issue with the configuration and on the mac have tried multiple configurations to see if that made a difference and nothing changes. Apple please help....

Mar 6, 2014 12:45 PM in response to seb101by underthecherrymoon,I am having the same problem with my 2-month-old 2013 MacBook Air, even after the upgrade to 10.9.2
I've been on the phone with Apple care several times and no one seems to have any idea what's going on.

Mar 6, 2014 12:51 PM in response to underthecherrymoonby DTS419,I think I may have finally stumbled upon a solution. Follow the instructions on this page to set sleep mode to 1. I did this earlier today and so far the problem has been solved for me. You might say this is more of a workaround than a solution; I wonder if this will impact battery life.

Mar 7, 2014 4:07 AM in response to mikkelnlby Roland4518,Did you try enabling Power Nap? After doing that, my late 2013 MBP has been OK for several days. I just checked it after sleeping all night. The wifi symbol flashes for a second and all is well. Keeping my fingers crossed.

Mar 7, 2014 5:43 AM in response to mikkelnlby Roland4518,I take it your machine did not come with Mavericks installed? I have a callback request in for the Apple Support guy I talked to about this Sunday. I want to see what he thinks about why enabling Power Nap seems to have fixed it for me. His original fix (deleting the com.apple.Bluetooth.plist file) seemed to work at first but then the problem was back the next morning. I now have two Bluetooth devices (keypad and headphones) paired and it's working OK. The problem popped up for me right after I paired the second BT device.
Edit: I said I had both BT devices paired, but I don't think I had actually used the headphones until just now. After doing so, I'm back to no wifi after sleep. I'll see what the Apple guy says. I was afraid a solution couldn't be that simple.

Mar 7, 2014 7:23 AM in response to seb101by JRFINN,Okay, so I found another Apple suggestion if you guys are still having issues.
It is related to removing the key/WPA-PSK passcode to connect through your router.
I went into keys and removed the current router name which includes the passcode in both the system and local and then reset my 2008 MacBook Pro.
Of course you will want to have the router passcode before doing this. Once you try to connect if will walk you though conecting to your network i.e. router and re-enter the passcode.
This (seems to have resolved my intermittent internet connection from being dropped). I will watch it and see if it comes back. However, I have gone into one web site that I used yesterday with issues. Today I was able to get from page to page without any issue and my mail looks like it in coming in on it's own as opposed to me having to shutoff WiFi to reactivate the conection. I have been running about 1 hour without issue.
Good luck all... JRFINN

Mar 7, 2014 7:29 AM in response to seb101by Vladimir_33,I had no idea that apple s*cks so hard
even unsubscribing from this shameful thread with 'Don't receive email notifications' doesn't work

Mar 7, 2014 11:04 AM in response to JRFINNby JRFINN,Okay the password change didn't affect the drop off of WiFi.
I've actually switched back to my Windows 7 laptop because I am fedd up with the inconsistancy of being able to perform work functions i.e. mail, internet, you know the basic day to day functionality.
Apple better get on the ball!!!
