MacBook Air not wake up after sleep

Same thing here. MBA 2013 and only since updating to Mavericks. 😟

Same thing here. MBA 2011 working perfectly until I updated to Mavericks.

It often doesn't wake up fully. It does draw the password input box but there's no text cursor and no input is possible. The mouse cursor is not visible either. Waiting does nothing (tried ~15 minutes, no change). Closing the lid does not put the laptop back to sleep, it's fully frozen and the only way out is a reboot by holding the power button.

My Macbook Air is 2 weeks old... so Mid 2013. I upgraded to Mavericks 5 days ago. Now when the screen turns off, it doesn't wake up by moving the mouse or touching the trackpad (or clicking), touching keys, etc. The only way is to hold power key for 5 seconds and then turning it back on.

Just to let you guys know that the problem seems to have disappeared after doing both a SMC and a PRAM reset. Been running for an entire day, went to sleep multiple times, woke up right away each time.

Pascal, I followed Fortiema's advise earlier today and it seems to be working. I have put my Air to sleep twice and also just let it go to sleep and it reawoke just fine with the keyboard. I will try to check back after a few days also.

Yep I read that just after I added my comment. I too reset PRAM and SMC and now it seems everything works just fine. Thanx guys.
