How to view "recent searches" in safari on ipad (ios7)

Evidently, no one knows the answer to my question. Please help if possible as this is becoming so frustrating that I'm contemplating downgrading back to ios 6. I am constantly having to retype my search queries...it is so annoying losing a feature that was being provided with a previous version!

Thank you for your reply but unfortunately this doesn't address my issue. Typing in the unified bar brings up suggestions, bookmarks and history but this seems to be browsing history only (i.e. sites I have actually visited). I still need to retype my search query to display my search results again. I wasn't aware you can't downgrade, isn't that a bit silly? What if there is a major fault or drawback with the new software, are users left with no option but to bear it? Also, upgrades should be an enhancement on a previous version, one would not expect to lose functionality or a feature by upgrading (especially when there is no option to go back)..it poses a risk in performing any future updates if I could potentially lose something I already have!

Thank you for your feedback. I have been using the same method but it is not as effective as reloading or refining your search query in the same window that you are using. Opening multiple tabs can become a little cumbersome and difficult to manage when working with various searches...really wish Apple would reintroduce "recent searches" as it was an extremely useful feature in my opinion!

Thank you!! It seems that the Safari history now includes searches. I'm not certain if this changed with a software update as, unless I'm mistaken, it only used to include browsing history?? Regardless, this appears to have resolved my dilemma. Thanks again!
