iPhoto Mavericks Update

Updated to Mavericks and updated iPhoto and iMovie. Everything opens etc however, the App Store keeps telling me I have 1 update. iPhoto. I've downloaded it, installed it, it's perfect but it won't go away. I clicked update and it just downloaded it again. The update is slightly over 1GB and I'm on a limited Broadband plan so I can't keep downloading it but it's bugging me with the little red 1 on the app store icon. How do I get rid of it? I have restarted. Closed and reopened. Did a little rain dance.. nothing will make it sense that all is good.

Go to the App Store and log out. Then log in again and see if the update message continues. If it does try this:

1 - enable the Debug menu in App Store:

  • open the Terminal application.

  • copy the command below and paste into the Terminal window:

defaults write com.apple.appstore ShowDebugMenu -bool true

followed by Enter.

  • launch App Store, login.

2 - select the Debug ➙ Reset Application option:

User uploaded file

3 - try again.
