First question to ask with any email like that is, can you still log in to iTunes? Open iTunes and log in to your account - if you can and all is well, then clearly it is at the least, an erroneous email.

Check your AppleID independantly by not clicking anything in the email but typing in appleid.apple.com in a web browser. Again, can you login and is all the information correct?

A good rule with any such email is never trust, and verify (independently) if the account they mention even has a problem in the first place.
