Since maverick install runs hotter than ever... Closed all apps, run memory cleaner

Not sure what you upgraded from, but it's probably running hotter because the OS is making the computer work harder then it did before which is obvisouly going to cause it to run hotter. Does the fan turn on and do what it is supposed to do?
Yes ...but prior to maverick on latest OSX 100.8.5 ml it also ran hot with some of thgames my wife hve. Mostlyhidden objectmnystery and images . Not one action game. Lots of pics...
I think flash player is involved in this. Cannot use activity monitor as app locks in full screen and will not run or let you look. May attach second monitor but this will just cause more work. Have 8gb memory arriving in a day or two.
And yes fan is doing its work. Was opened cleaned and dusted out to make sure it runs properly.
Personal opinon. Nvidia 9400m geaphics for this kind of app stinks and maverick did not help. If memory does not help will restore bootable backup and wait for updates.
