Oct 28, 2013 1:44 PM in response to RbbiFby Frank Nospam,/System/Library/PrivateFrameworks/CloudServices.framework/Versions/A/Resources/E scrowSecurityAlert.app is a new part of Mavericks. It might be connected to iCloud Keychain. I'm sure the white hats will be investigating it pretty soon.

Oct 28, 2013 10:33 PM in response to RbbiFby RbbiF,Im not the most computer savy guy but know that they have taken copies of the entire computer and will not let me access a lot of it. i just noticed this morning that I am not able to access my Hotmail or Gmail account from my 5S. Only the icloud email. As I was watching this man take control of my computer, I began recording it and taking some photos. He left me his contact information with the direct number being disconnected. His title was Mobility Specialist Evertrhing he was extraxting as well as his contact card showed Apple, Inc..vcf info on the top of the page. i rememver specifically a narrow but long document that had informarion on the bottom stated sharing & permissionshowing people that can speak or just read such as Admin,Me, Staff, Everyone and towards the top below genereal: Kind:Microsoft Outlook Contact with a check mark next to stationary Pad. I also see 2 browsers opem. 1st one was a google search showing Escrow Security Alert and the other was Microsoft on the support page with the headline that said "Microsoft Office For Mac 2011 Privacy Statement" last updated September 2010. Their is a senior advisor that's been working with me and he is scheduked to call tomoorrow morning. Is there anyone that's familiar with this situation cause I'm scarred to death and dont even have a clue what I did wrong? Any & all responses will be greatly appreciated.
I Thank You Kindly,

Oct 29, 2013 4:14 AM in response to RbbiFby Simon Slavin,What is the actual text of the message. When are you seeing the message ? If possible, show us a screenshot.
Also what are you now prevented from doing ?

Oct 29, 2013 5:17 AM in response to RbbiFby Simon Slavin,If you're "not the most computer savvy guy" then there's no way you should be running an OS X Server installation. Can you not find someone you know personally who understands Macs and ask them to sort this out for you ?
It sounds like you have somehow handed control of your computer, and your gmail and hotmail accounts over to someone you won't know. What organisation do you think they're part of and how did you contact them ?
What you describe looks like it's all building up to some sort of blackmail where they tell you to pay money or they won't give you your data back. Don't pay anything to anyone you haven't met face-to-face. Find a real human who you can see face-to-face and ask them to sort it out for you.
Better still, just wipe the hard disk of the computer, restore from a backup before all this happened, and forget the whole thing.

Nov 18, 2013 12:19 PM in response to RbbiFby Frank Nospam,1: Here is info about Escrow Security Alert: https://discussions.apple.com/message/23576843
2: Your followup messages seem to indicate that you are way out of your depth. Never give your computer to untrustworthy strangers. You should probably wipe the entire system and reinstall everything from scratch.

Jan 10, 2014 11:30 PM in response to RbbiFby NGWD,Hello Rbbif,
I also have noticed the EscrowSecuruityAlert in my processes, and I am concerned. I was confused by your comment, and I was hoping you could clarify this for me. Are you saying that an apple specialist copied your entire computer and then took over your computer? How is this related to the denied access to your emails? And has everything worked out with the senior advisor to figure out the issue? Because I have no idea why this process keeps running on my computer either.
Thanks

Aug 20, 2014 11:28 PM in response to RbbiFby Jrberk122,★HelpfulEscrow is a data security measure in which acryptographic key is entrusted to a third party (i.e., kept in escrow). Under normal circumstances, the key is not released to someone other than the sender or receiver without proper authorization. Key escrow systems can be considered a security risk at the user puts access to information into the hands of the escrow agent holding the cryptographic key; however, key escrow systems are used to ensure that there is a backup of the cryptographic key in case the parties with access to key lose the data through a disaster or malicious intent.
