When I open iPhoto I get the following message. 31
photos have been found in iPhoto Library folder that
were not imported Would you like to import them.
This started with four photos. If I answer yes
nothing gets imported and and eventually the program
crashes and asks if I want to restart. When I do I
get the same message but the number of photos has
increased by 4. What can I do to fix this.
I've got a new imac and was finding this on three imported pictures; what's more is that it was stopping Front Row from functioning correctly; if I started a slideshow up from FR it hung then reported that iPhoto was not responding (as it was trying to re-import the photo's)
I'm new to macs so sorry if this is a bit hap hazard, but I think under the Library folder, I found a folder called 'Import'; and sat in there were the three locked files it was trying to re-import everytime I launched iPhoto. I unlocked them, and deleted them. I haven't tried to reimport the pictures as yet but did know that my wife had tried to edit these particular picutres...
By the way, if I accepted iPhoto's message to finish importing these pictures it did so and simply duplicated them. If I said no, nothing happened but it would try to re-import them the next time I launched the app.
Since finding and deleting the files it hasn't happened again although I've not tried to actually reimport the originals (in trying to solve this I had deleted them from my library)
hope that helps
Luke
